I think what I am going to miss the most about being pregnant is the attention my husband gives me for example; this morning it was extremely icy out so he held my hand and walked me to my truck, helped me in and then on top of that scrapped the ice from my windshield. Like come on that is excellent service! I am certainly going to miss that in the future.

Work Vent
I have 5 1/2 weeks left until my due date and work still has not found a replacement for my one job or the job I have been covering for where someone recently quit. I probably shouldn't be worrying about if they find someone to cover while I am on mat leave but I seriously do I not want this person to come in without my training him/her and screwing everything up. I defiantly don't want to come back after a year of maternity leave and be cleaning up a huge mess.My coworkers keep saying that they are having a hard time finding the right person because I am so good at my job which is a really nice compliment but seriously there has to be someone out there.
Maybe I care too much... Should I have a meeting with my boss or just let them figure it out?

Best Birthday Gift!
My husband has been secretive all week and keeps saying that he is the best husband ever. I just ignored him and said okay I look forward to my bday gift. (My birthday is April 18 and he seriously has a hard time keeping secrets.) Later on I heard on the news that Kelly Clarkson was coming to Edmonton and Calgary in October. OMG we both love Kelly Clarkson so I go on to my computer and start figuring out the cost and where the best seats are, I all the sudden stop and jokingly say maybe I should just stop in case this is my bday gift and laugh. My husband silently looks at me and says "I don't know what to say right now..." I freak out saying "Are you serious, you got tickets?!"

Playing Catch Up
Its been 7 months since my last blog post. Currently at work (really slow in the oil & gas market right now), I am sitting on a bright pink yoga ball and feeling the little growing baby in my belly rolling around. Yes you read that right, I am 34 weeks pregnant and expecting baby to arrive on May 8, 2015. (oh man I really want a peanut buster parfait)
There are things that I am nervous about; such as learning how to take care of a new little baby and on top of taking a year of maternity leave. I have been working since I was 15 so that will defiantly be an adjustment. I am also worried about loosing a sense of myself while becoming a mother. I still want to do the things that I love like running, being outside and have a relationship with my hubby. (I really miss running, haven't ran at all this entire pregnancy)
There are of course things I am looking forward to being a family and enjoying this new little person that we have brought into the world. I can't wait to go swimming with the little one, go for family walks, watching the little one learn and grow, being a family unit and going on family trips.
I sure have a lot to be thankful for and a lot to look forward to in the future.

Expanding Spirtuality
I personally have never had a really large belief of God or Jesus but I have always believed in souls and spirits. My friend just introduced me to Tarot Cards and a pendulum. And I have to say there must be something between the two of us that makes us click. Our results are crazy accurate it is worth looking into. I am amazed.

Missing something?
I have two fun races this weekend, the run or dye race and a sprint triathlon. I am looking forward to both of them; however, I just can't seem to get in the eating healthy/training mode. What is wrong with me? I am unsure but I am going to get back on track and get back to the basics of eating properly, in moderation and tracking.
I really dislike feeling fat and I need to get back in control before it spirals out of my control!

Phoenix '14
Got back from a vaca in Phoenix, had so much fun. We got lots of shopping done on this trip, stuff is so cheap in the States its unbelievable! I told my hubby that next time we are only going to Kohls a maximum of 3 times because this trip we went every single day which was a bit exhausting. We went to the movie theatre and watched Maleficent (it was amazing, I cried in so many parts because I was so excited) and saw X-men (another movie series that I love). We went to a D-Backs game too, I love baseball but I also love people watching, since I am hearing impaired and lip read I can get in on so many conversations.
When we were on the plane home I leaned over and told my husband that the next time we come either I will be pregnant or we will have a child, that is super exciting for both of us! I told my mom that I had said that to him and her eyes just went wide open in fright or excitement I am not sure.
Can't wait for our next trip which is Hawaii Xmas '14!

Lifetime Member
I have been with weight watchers for 4 years and made it to lifetime Xmas'12 I still attend weekly meetings because I find it keeps me honest. Last week I took my "fat photos" and everyone was super impressed and said that I didn't even look like the same person. Its amazing because I never really noticed the weight snuck on I just woke up one day and realized I was over weight and I had to do something about that. I lost a total of 50 pounds in my weight loss journey I lost it through running and eating in moderation. I still ate all my favorite foods and fast food but I just ate healthier versions and smaller portions.
I will miss WW while I am pregnant but I will defiantly be back there as soon as possible getting the baby weight off.
If you have any questions about weight waters please feel free to ask.

Balancing Act
I grew up in a household where my parents were very involved in my life which helped me grow into a woman with motivation and desire to accomplish tasks at the best to my ability. However now that I am married and ready to start a family how do I tell my parents not to be involved in my life as much. My husband and I have agreed to each other that we are going to do only 1 family event (either with his family or my family) per week. My parents take this as he is controlling me and his parents have no problem with it.
I do not like at all that my parents say he is controlling me, its not the truth if anything they (my parents) are still controlling me. It shouldn't be this way! I want my space, I want to spend time with just my husband in our new home. However my problem is that I can't tell this because I am afraid of disapointing them.
They need to learn that I am an adult...a married adult who made a committment to my marriage and this marriage is my sole priority because with him I am at my happiest.

When is it the right time?
A little background into my life I have always wanted to be a mom. My own mother told me the other day that when I was young I would recite to her "I will be a mommy like you one day" I would say this while clutching my beloved water baby, Emma. As I grew up my goal was to have my first child by the time I was 25 years olds. (currently 24)
Yesterday I had a serious converstation with my mother, I told her that my husband and I (together 6 years, married 2 years) have decided to start trying in Jan 2015. She was supportive in our decision however in her opinion I am too young as she did not have her first child (my older sister) until she was 28. Parts of me agree with her opinion that I am too young because you loose lots of freedom once making a commitment to taking care of a little one but the other part of me is so ready for that commitment.
My question is, when is it the right time and how do you know if you are ready for the next step in your life?
I could always wait till I am 28 but what if something devistating happens and now I have missed my chance to be a mother. Will I die satisfied, the answer is no. This is something I have always wanted. My title is wife, mother, daughter, sister. Those are my priorities.

Bunny slide
Last night while playing with the bunnies I was dashing while they would run at my feet chasing after me. And my little bunny girl, Fudge (who weighs a mere 3lb) was dashing right after me and she hit slippery spot in the floor and slid all the way towards me. I burst out laughing and she just stood there shocked.

Registered for 2nd Triathlon
Exciting news! I got a clean bill of health to enter in my second triathlon sprint. It consists of a 750m swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run. Super excited and can't wait to beat my time. Last year I came in 8th in my age group (23F) hopefully I can top that. Maybe this year I will put socks on because last year I didn't in order to shave off seconds in my transition time and I had the nastiest blisters!
- If you wonder where Ive gone I'm off to either swim, run or cycle. Let the training commence!

May the month of pain
Since Decmber 2013 I had been training to do my first half marathon the Woody's Half. I had been so devoted to my training and ran in the blizzards of Alberta in -42 degree weather. The beginning months of May I was sitting at work and all the sudden I was in the most severe pain I had ever been. I raced home and so did my hubby. I suffered in pain not being able to walk and saw the dr. She didn't know what was wrong, 4 days later I was told a cyst on my ovary had ruptured and I could no longer do the race because I could potential ruture another cyst on the other ovary. Needless to say I was totally and completly devestated because I had bragged to everyone how I was doing my first half marathon, then I realized why should I have to be afraid of disapointing other people, when I should be concerned for my health?

Child Public Urination
What's your view on children who can no longer hold their bladder and allowing them to pee outside? On one occasion the children were allowed to pee beside the house in the yard because the mom did not want to take them inside to the toilet. Now today we were all in the truck heading to hockey practice and the 5 year old boy announces he has to pee really bad. Once we arrive at the arena the mom allows him to pee next to the truck, in the parking lot! So there he was, a 5 year old peeing even as traffic was driving by.
Personally I feel like this mom is teaching them that it is okay to pee outside, which is a problem when they are an adult. The reason being is because the person could be given a public urination ticket or even possibly be charged with indecent exposure, which is a very serious offense.

To be stressed or not to be?
Today was a very stressful day at work. The reason being was because the momma and the kids where all in a bad mood when I arrived first thing in the morning. I somehow mentioned today was the 3rd and the mom realized that today was the son's first hockey lesson which just happened to start in a half hour. I quickly got the 2 kids dressed and organized the hockey bag and got them buckled up in the truck waiting for the mom. She was running around trying to find her keys and then her phone, we eventually started heading to the arena. The mom was already stressed out which didn't help when both kids announced that they had to use the bathroom. We got to the arena and while heading to the restroom noticed the ice area had zero lights on and no ice! After the kids were done we went to the front desk. They told us that the lessons were at this other arena (which I luckily knew where it was). We jumped in the truck and headed off, we got to the next arena already 20 minutes late. I'm getting the boy in his skates when the mom notices the cage on the hockey helmet is not on it. She got super mad and ran to the instructor to find out if he could still skate, they allowed him to this time. She called her husband to ask why the cage was removed. His reason was because he could not find the son's bike helmet so he removed the cage so he could wear that helmet while skating. She was not impressed because the screws and everything was missing.
Needless to say the mom was in a bad mood to begin with once all this trouble to get to hockey occurred she had lost her temper. I tried to get the kids to leave her alone so she could have some peace with herself but it was almost impossible. Once we got home the kids had drove her to the point where she locked herself in her room for awhile. I had to leave the day early for an appointment so she was left with them for the afternoon and I hope everyone has survived and they didn't drive each other crazy any further.
We'll see what tomorrow brings.
My question is for you. How would you have reacted throughout this day? Would you have needed that time by yourself for awhile or would you have tried to not let it get to you?

Sick Days
I only worked a half of day today because I was sick and coughing up a lung. It was my first sick day in about 3 years, previously I have worked through whatever illness ailed me, too bad not everyone can do that. I have worked many jobs and heard from friends and my husband the stories about how often someone would call in sick, its almost ridiculous. They call in sick one day and are perfectly fine the next day as if they were healed by the power of the Lord. Makes it hard to believe if they were even truly sick at all. It's like the boy who cried wolf you call in sick often when your not sick and then one day you are totally and completely ill and you have no sick days left. Everyone should try to toughen out the day and if you really don't feel 100% then ask to go home early.

1st Post
Hey there,
I've decided to have a blog about my life in general the topics that are important to me would be diet and exercise, marriage, family and working with children and many other topics.
My first blog is going to be about the little girl I work with she is 2 years old and currently whenever I'm leaving at the end of the day she says to me "Bye-bye Poo Poo" I ignore her behavior and in my head have wondered where she started this potty talk. Until the other day her own mother called her mom (little girls grandmother) "Nana Poo Poo Head." I must have accidentally flashed the mother a nasty look because she quickly replied with "I should really stop that because the children have started doing that too" and I'm thinking in my head, "Like really?! Where else do you think they learned how to talk like that?"
How is it that parents get mad about their child's bad behaviors when the only way that the child would have learned this behaviors is through the observation of their parents. My point is, if you want to have a polite and good mannered child you need to show your child through your behaviors; it's as simple as that.
