Sick Days

I only worked a half of day today because I was sick and coughing up a lung. It was my first sick day in about 3 years, previously I have worked through whatever illness ailed me, too bad not everyone can do that.  I have worked many jobs and heard from  friends and my husband the stories about how often someone would call in sick, its almost ridiculous.  They call in sick one day and are perfectly fine the next day as if they were healed by the power of the Lord.  Makes it hard to believe if they were even truly sick at all.  It's like the boy who cried wolf you call in sick often when your not sick and then one day you are totally and completely ill and you have no sick days left.  Everyone should try to toughen out the day and if you really don't feel 100% then ask to go home early.

1st Post

Hey there,
I've decided to have a blog about my life in general the topics that are important to me would be diet and exercise, marriage, family and working with children and many other topics.

My first blog is going to be about the little girl I work with she is 2 years old and currently whenever I'm leaving at the end of the day she says to me "Bye-bye Poo Poo" I ignore her behavior and in my head have wondered where she started this potty talk.  Until the other day her own mother called her mom (little girls grandmother) "Nana Poo Poo Head."  I must have accidentally flashed the mother a nasty look because she quickly replied with "I should really stop that because the children have started doing that too" and I'm thinking in my head, "Like really?! Where else do you think they learned how to talk like that?"

How is it that parents get mad about their child's bad behaviors when the only way that the child would have learned this behaviors is through the observation of their parents. My point is, if you want to have a polite and good mannered child you need to show your child through your behaviors; it's as simple as that.
