1st Post

Hey there,
I've decided to have a blog about my life in general the topics that are important to me would be diet and exercise, marriage, family and working with children and many other topics.

My first blog is going to be about the little girl I work with she is 2 years old and currently whenever I'm leaving at the end of the day she says to me "Bye-bye Poo Poo" I ignore her behavior and in my head have wondered where she started this potty talk.  Until the other day her own mother called her mom (little girls grandmother) "Nana Poo Poo Head."  I must have accidentally flashed the mother a nasty look because she quickly replied with "I should really stop that because the children have started doing that too" and I'm thinking in my head, "Like really?! Where else do you think they learned how to talk like that?"

How is it that parents get mad about their child's bad behaviors when the only way that the child would have learned this behaviors is through the observation of their parents. My point is, if you want to have a polite and good mannered child you need to show your child through your behaviors; it's as simple as that.

  1. I agree! Children learn a lot by watching their parents. This is something I'll need be aware of if I have kids someday. And I don't really agree with the use of baby talk to kids. But maybe it is just me.
